Barbara Gilbert, B.A.

Barbara Gilbert has over 20 years' experience in executive assistance, digital marketing, and business support.  She has worked with consultants, financial planners and consultants, contractors, lawyers, medical professionals, and in the public sector.  She is dedicated, motivated, and a hard-working self starter who is energetic and enthusiastic to get started and make things happen.

 

As Barbara was working in the corporate world, gradually she came to realize that her office, creative and organizational skills could be better used and more beneficial to helping businesses and entrepreneurs reach their goals.

 

Over the years, Barbara has had the pleasure of personally connecting with individuals who are passionate about their business and the work they do.  She enjoys freeing them up to focus on their gifts and talents.

Barbara specializes in writing/blogging, branding and print design, and computer management consulting with expertise is in blog ghostwriting, photo editing, branding including stationery branding, brochures, flyers, postcards, business cards, and logos.   Her education and qualifications include business administration, digital marketing, social media management and executive assistance.  Do you have problems with your computer?  Barbara can problem-solve and troubleshoot issues with computer settings, application settings and assist you with formatting and editing functions in Microsoft applications, QuickBooks, and email management.

 

When she is not working she spends time with her family and friends.  She participates in groups at her church, is a member of a local Lions Club and plays viola with a string quartet and a chamber string orchestra.

 

It is her pleasure to help other business owners and entrepreneurs with the work she does for them to help them achieve their goals towards running a successful business, to do her volunteer work in my community and to share the joy of music.

Karen has 20+ years' experience as an executive assistant that included typing a variety of business and personal documents, transcription, creative writing, layout and formatting, and speeches, proofreading and editing.

Karen has over 25 years' experience in resume writing.   Karen will review  and assess your information and provide you with a quote.  She arrives at solutions so people may become employed quickly.  Karen sets high standards to provide you with a professionally prepared resume and covering letter  and will go the distance to enable you to land more interviews.  Her qualifications include CPRW certificate (Certified Professional Resume Writer) a Certified Resume Strategist (CRS) certificate. Her resume and cover letters appear in books associated with Career Professionals of Canada.

 

With an employment background in a variety of areas including healthcare, psychology, the skilled trades, marketing, promotions, and sales, retail, accounting, the automotive market, customer service, teaching, hospitality and as an office manager, she demonstrates a natural talent for writing from entry to executive level resume projects that impress clients in many different industries.
